When the road turns to solid ice or snowpack, these V-bar links dig in hard. Each studded twist link acts like a row of cleats, breaking through ice and gripping the surface so you can keep traction when climbing or braking. The ladder-pattern layout lines the tires with steady rungs of bite, giving confident starts and stops even on steep or slick grades.
The 0.281" (7 mm) thick cross links are built to plow through deep snow without folding under pressure. The extra mass gives the chains the heft you want when heading into unplowed roads or icy dirt tracks. Whether you’re hauling a trailer or heading to a backcountry cabin, the design delivers dependable forward pull and control.
These aren’t light-duty snow chains. The low-carbon steel construction is strong and durable for repeated winter use on or off road. The hardened links resist wear and maintain their shape even after spinning through gravel or packed snow. With proper care they’ll last through multiple seasons of rugged driving.
Instead of cam tighteners that can work loose when you back up or hit rough patches, this design keeps things simple with manual link adjustment. Once tightened, the chains hold firm through reversing, turning, and uneven terrain. For an even snugger fit, you can add rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately).
Sized for 15" – 24" tires, these chains cover a wide range of large and wide-base applications. They’re rated for speeds up to 30 mph and come as a pair, ready to mount when conditions demand serious traction. A reusable storage bag keeps them organized between uses so they’re ready when the snow starts falling.

Great product, got me out of a couple tough situations and kept me on the road when needed.
Great chains for the aggressive mountains of Colorado.
My chains arrived quickly and although I haven’t had the chance to use them yet they are very stout and I do believe they will do as good as I think they will. If they do not I will definitely do another review to refute this statement.
They are heavy duty sized chains!! Have not test fitted yet. Disappointed there is no reusable bag as mentioned in the description. The sack they came in had to be cut open making it not reusable anymore.
Only had to use the chains once but it was pulling a trailer up a icy road and they worked great.

Prompt delivery from etrailer. Received them today after ordering just a few days ago. Haven’t used them yet but they appear to be well made. Have a trip to Colorado planned in a week or so, so maybe I’ll get a chance to put them to work.

Just bought them, but so far they look good! No issues with quality control and they look sturdy and well built. The installation videos from the etrailer folks on YouTube are excellent to figure out how to install them!
I'm going to travel from Chicago to Alaska this winter, so we'll see if I get a chance to use them on the Alaska highway. Expect an update sometime soon after the New Year.
I received the first pair of snowchains and opened the package and inspected the snowchains. Looking forward to putting the snowchains to use. I will return in the future to post photos and update my review. Pending after my trip to the mountain. Overall happy with the speedy shipping and great customer service.

The two sets of chains i ordered showed up quickly. I havent used the chains yet. But ill update this when i do. The 5.5mm diamond chains alot smaller than what i thought they were going to be... we will see how they do on my 1 ton.

Hey i still havent used either set of chains yet. Which is good i guess.
I had placed an order from trailer for some snow chains for my vehicle. Amy, the customer service representative was extremely friendly, courteous and very helpful. She represented the company in a very professional manner. It's a shame other businesses don't have a rep like her.

I purchased these tire chains from etrailer due to their amazing customer service. they arrived quickly and are very heavy duty. They do not have the cam chain tensioners, which is why i bought these. I will be using these for off road and did not want a cam that could possibly loosen. I have already cut them to length. they came packaged really well. thanks again etrailer......
Received my chains and tensioners the next day! Incredibly happy with the speed, and quality of the product. I haven't had a chance to use them yet, but should during my upcoming hunting trips.
excellent quality and good price. I've had these over a year now and use the chains occasionally when off-roading with friends in deep snow and/or icy conditions. These have helped me thru terrain that would have been impassable without chains. Highly recommend these for anyone with 35" tires that needs to get thru the roughest winter terrain.
Haven't used my chains yet but did a kind of "dry" fit. They look like they should work on my 285/75-r18 Toyo open country ATII's. Customer service was great and shipping was fast and prompt. Look forward to dealing with these folks again.

Well they store nicely. Still havent used them.
Product is as specified.
Chains were easy to install. I went for a more rugged chain with the cleats, but now wish I got the ones without the cleats for the sake of the roads these may drive on.
Never needed to use them, but they seem to be well built.
Some Deadly tire chains!! I highly recommend these bad boys to anyone who enjoys driving in the snow!

OOHH MAN these tire chains are Awesome!!! I mean awesome for idling around off road in hard snow, deep snow, icy snow lol. I recommend them to anyone who enjoys getting from point A to B no stops in between.
After spending one day of my snowmobile trip digging out my 2008 F-250, I decided to buy chains to get through a mile of unplowed road to our cabin. I bought the TC3831 with V-bar links and chain adjusters TCMA2s so I could tackle the deep snow with ice underneath. The chains were easy to put on and worked excellent on an unimproved road. The heavy 7mm links did a great job of traction and control. I would recommend to anyone that needs to get a truck and trailer to their snowmobile destination. One recommendation is to check your chain tension after spinning the tires.
